Hi guys

I have a 2008 1200gsa......now I know these things are well known to have crap fuel gauges and to use the trip meter etc but last night I filled it up and easily got 32.2 litres in it.
Trip read 330 miles so roughly worked out 46.8mpg

So.....what worries me is that tank holds 33ltrs which means I didnt have much left

Do these figures look about right ?......was there only 0.8ltrs of fuel left  and no fuel light :blast

Tank holds 36.65liters in reality. 33liters is for 90% of the tank. You can see it in the asterix paragraph of the specifications. By the way I did manage to put in that much in honest.

Yep, i put in 35+ litres in mine on the side stand when i ran out of fuel, when the fuel guage still showed 200+ range. Don't really bother with the guage now, just use the odo, lesson learned for me.

Most I have got in so far is 35.6 litres and the OBC was showing enough for 11 miles. Too close for comfort for me so as others do, I only use the trip and base an average consumption of 10 miles per litre so start looking for fuel at 320 miles.

I have a 12 plate one and have found the guage and computer to be OK. Even with showing about 30 miles to go I've rarely managed over 30 litres on a fill up.

Thanks guys....Is there a way to test the fuel light ??.....I know the guages are not much use but maybe with the 3 or 4 ltrs left it wasnt enough to put the light on :nenau
