Usualy known as a round of drinks up here:beer:

Well today a mate of mine who died in November returned home to Lochbay.

After a few kind words at the Jetty, Myself his two brothers, wife and 96 year old Mum:eek: got piped and boarded "Swell" one of the finest fishing vessels in the coastal trade and set sail to the top end of Lochbay and scattered his ash's at a place where he use to put his creels to catch the odd Prawn or lobster for fun.

I really was not looking forward to today but now feel is if it was a great day and will always remember him as I look out onto the Loch.:thumb2

Anyway in true tradition a few of us a going to get absolutley hammered in his memory tonight:beerjug:

Strange... I was gutted 'til I saw me Mam's box go through the curtains..

A weight seemed to lift and the wake was a great laugh - She'd have loved it.

Scatter o halves :thumb2

I drink to the health of another,
And the other I drink to is he
In the hope that he drinks to another,
And the other he drinks to is me.

Couldn’t make the funeral of a good mate of mine a while ago, he was an old Sea dog.
I was travelling across the Minch at the time of his service. I filled his tankard wi heavy, took a mouthful and dropped a glass o rum into it before launching it over the side.
Reckon he would have appreciated that.:beerjug:
