The extra won’t be for more toilets in the camper area which had 2.5 times more vehicles this than last year.
There were definitely a lot more vans this year. Too many bike mates too soft for tenting…
I arrived at 08:10 on the Friday morning and headed down to the allocated field below the lake and couldn’t find anywhere to park for over half an hour. Many other camper vans in a similar situation, just driving round and round hoping a gap would open up.
One toilet block for the entire field, I’m sure in previous years there’s been more toilet and shower blocks down in that field.

Yep I’m giving it a miss this year due to inflated price hike £199 can get you a nice weekend break in Windermere including breakfast for two for Friday and Saturday night
Likewise I’m also giving it a miss next year, this year was my fifth year so I’ve obviously enjoyed myself in the past but there are aspects of the event which instead of improving are actually getting worse.
Getting parked up when you arrive is pretty important to me as is being able to use the loos when you get up in the morning. I have never had to queue to take a piss before at the ABR.
In fairness that’s what it’s all about and has been from day one, but yeah I totally agree with you.
I was at check-in at 07:15. Signed in at 07:30 on the dot. Because the absolute fuck up that two entrances and letting bikes through with zero traffic management of other vehicles - I didn’t pass the check in tent (despite being in said front row and being asked to move into the roadway
To allow bikes to stack up) until 10:09!!
Fucking shit show. By the time I got to the camper field the whole world was in there. Many with tapes covering huge areas. Vans parked along the trees sideways, chairs/bikes/coolers blocking out areas, etc. there were even bikes set up with tents despite it being the decamped/van/caravan area.
Utter shit show and Alun had said to my face that that wouldn’t be happening this year, extra security, no antisocial riding, etc.

Nothing about tenting for us. I had bikes and dogs with me as OH and daughter rode up Friday after working Thursday.
We camped on the quiet camp field never had to que once all weekend for a shower or toilet. Bit further to walk for entertainment but the buses were excellent.
ive been every year since they been there and absolutely loved it early days but after last year decided to sell my trail bike and not take one but the absolute overcrowding this year has done for me and not going next year. great shame but the trails have turned into total motocross carnage and not fun for a green laner at all.

I had to go to medical tent due to grit be lodged in my eye while there a paramedic was taken off his bike as he was riding round on the off road course
This was the worst year on the off road course due to idiots thinking they could ride a bike fast . I anticipate marshalling will change next year otherwise more people will be injured than in 2025
