Hi Filks, I need some urgent help. Going to France tomorrow on a R1200GS and the bike decided to act up.
Here goes; When I switch on the ignition the ABS goes through it's diagnostics after which the ABS pump should switch off, well it won't switch off.
Problem started after I forgot to switch off the ignition last night and had to jump start the bike.
Checked the following;
Battery voltage; 12.7V
Battery voltage when starter cranking; 11.62V
Front brake switch; activates rear light and changes the sound of ABS pump.
Rear brake switch; activates light BUT ABS pump sound does not change.
Started the bike using a booster pack to ensure the battery voltage was not an issue.
On the dash pod the following lights are on; warning triangle constant RED.
Brake failure light flashing.
I didn't reverse polarity when connecting jump leads last night.
Please can you help. France is a long walk with 2 panniers.
Thanks.
