Hi
Dear "Maria", i have a problem:

Every time i start my '94 GS engine, ABS fail to start!!!
Only when i reset it (turn off ignition) and start again the ABS starts ok!
I know, dear Maria, that there's a way to see what's the ABS fail reason... and that one can find the way to "build it" in ibmwr but i can't find it........please dear Maria help me....why does my ABS fails? where's the "ABS decoder" schemes?

cheers
DesertFox

p.s.: "Maria" it's the name of a well known Portuguese "love mail" hehehe

Nowt wrong with your ABS. The battery just needs to heat up a bit to get more juice.

Or plug in an optimate evry night. I just stop the bike after a KM and restart unless its dry and then I don't always bother.

Richie is correct. You need to get rid of your battery and buy a Hawker Odyssey PC 680. End of problems.

Battery problems?? hum....my BMW dealer doesn't say so.... but i don't trust them 100%....but only 50%... ;)

I've checked that battery on http://www.batterymart.com/battery.mv?p=ODY-PC680

it looks smaller than the one i have in my GS...have you experienced any problems regarding to its placement on bike?

Even though i'd like to build that small "ABS problem detector" i've mentioned in my first post....anyone with a clue????

Thanks mates

It is slightly smaller. You need something small to fill the gap between the battery and the holder, along the long sides. But this only need to be about 5 mm thick. A piece of cardboard will do.

There are pictures on advrider.com, in the GSpot forum somewhere. Search on there for full details.
