Accelerator Module

+1 TO Zpider.
I'ver just fitted mine (06 Model) I've only covered around 500 miles since I bought the bike so I'm still not really used to how it performs under various road/riding conditions. But I took it for a blast to day and it feels more like the bike itself is happier...
Really the best way to describe it for me!!

Had my 1150GSA on our dyno today, ran the bike standard, with Accelerator & Power FRK at 20%, 40% & 100% throttle.
Very interesting results.
I will post the dyno graphs later.

All positives so far, I knew I wasn’t imagining it all.

I’m going out for a proper long run tomorrow with some of the SW GSers and I’ve also put my Akrapovic Can back on.

So I’ll see how she performs with Remus headers and Akra Can.

Don't know the actual resistor for the 1200GS but this is a well known way of 'fooling' the ECU and has been used on cars for many years.

.

:augie I'm keeping shtum on my 20 pence kit, until i've boxed it all up and selling it for considerably more :D

To late now. You’ve missed the opportunity to make your fortune, cause we've all gone and bought £27 one.

I've posted about it for the 1150 models years ago, here and on ADV rider - for free :D.

plenty of posts about it, HERE, post 11 being the latest happy punter. I'd have told how to do it on the 1200 models for free, as i have told my 1200 customers, but sworn them to silence as i was fed up with all the PM's and email questions from the 1150, so didn't want to go through all that again . :D

Come on Steppers. You know that all us 1200 wallers are mechanically stunted, and can only do plug & play stuff.
:mmmm

Steptoe,

I don't understand your link here. It deals with the CCP for 1150 models. The CCP is used for letting the motronic know what type of bike configuration you have. Here in Belgium dealers often take the CCP away because the standard bike doesn't run as nice. When removed, the montronic doesn't know which configuration you have and then runs on an emergency program, which means richer fuel mixture over the whole range. Result higher fuel consumption, black at the exhaust pipe,... Not very nice for the motor.

This module works differently (and costs more then a few pence to make it)

Yes i know it's for the 1150, they are lots of threads about the link - hence why i haven't posted the 1200 info, as i said i'm fed up with stupid questions PM's and emails
Plus your almost 100% wrong in what you've posted. Were you told that info or know through experience. :D

The same results as your product are obtainable by linking to a certain wire in the controller feed and earthing it :thumb
But i'm not posting it, same as when i posted the wiring diagram on how to remove the ABS/brake servo unit and have everything working the same it suddenly appeared at a BMW specialist selling a servo removal kit for £200.

Such specialists i got a friend ask them if he could do the same on his K1200LT and they didn't have a clue

Anyway sorry to digress . I'll not post anymore, Carry on selling :thumb.

Well, I guess the only real difference between these two approaches is that you can buy one, but you can't buy the other :nenau

Well I've just ordered one, if I don't like it I can always take it off and sell it on some web site :augie

Now for the real anorak stuff:
From A South West ride today
According to my Zumo track log, Gordano, Rick's ride and back to Taunton 147 miles:
733309295_B3jbk-XL.jpg

Three bikes re set their average mpg to zero at Gordano
147 miles later:
2007 R1200GSA, spotlights on,heated grips on,heated jacket, 42mpg
Two faster riders:
2009 R1200GS 42mpg , ridden with assertion
2009 Yonkyo's R1200GSA, Akropovic, HID's with Accelerator Module and everyone on the ride
will confirm this, ridden with equal assertion to the R1200GS: 48mpg !!!!

So is it really true that richer fuelling gives better mpg :nenau
