Hi Guys

Anyone has experience with ACF 50?

I have a couple of questions.
1. If i spray this it will attack the paint? I know on the can says its safe but just want to double check .
2. I tried to spray a small surface and it becomes really oily .. i think it will get really messy in contact with dust and dirt.

Please share your experiences :)

No it won't attack your paint or any rubber. However, it will let the dirt stick to it so it won't look too pretty, when you wash it off in the springtime the bike underneath stays corrosion free.:thumb

Try not to get it on your tyres and brakes, it's as slippery as an eel in the bath!

biloddy good stuff and just think when you decide to sell the mint bike better money well spent

1. it's fine on paint.

2. it does get really messy as dirt just sticks to it. IME the bike remains mint underneath though.

Good stuff, good protection.

Just had mine do this morning ready for the winter. :thumb2

Thanks

So once i spray it im not allowed to wash the bike?

And how do you guys spray the bike? The entire bike?

Personally I would only spray the engine and then use a cloth to wipe it all over the rest of the bike don't get it on your breaks or tyres
Washing tip get a jet was and use it on low pressure the dirt will run off

Thanks

i just used to rinse mine off with cold water, occasionally put some shampoo/polish on the bodywork & wipe around with a rag. i never actually properly cleaned the bike ever.

i only used cf50 on the bits that corrode: wheel hubs, especially where the spokes go through, stands, front engine cover etc. spray a bit on, then poke it around with a paint brush. top up as needed, such as tyre fitters wiping it off the rims.

I Had mine done this morning and looks good, here's some Pics:

It's a BMW accessory, real easy to fit and given the cost of a head light well worth it at just over £70.

Tried the link but all I got was some german warning thingy says;

Might work. But I doubt it. However my new bike was in the garage three day before the Dragon noticed.

I put it on with a small paint brush. Sprayed it into the spray can cap and use it like that.

Cheers Dave.

If you don't want you're pride and joy from turning ginger and furry get some acf 50 on it ASAP , have had two gs's and rode all through the year with it applied , I put it through a small paint spray gun , just keep away from brakes & tyres .
Bikes have taken a bit of cleaning in the spring but never any sign of corrosion ,one of the better products out there .
