Handy tip...

Before spraying it let the can sit in warm water for 5 mins.

Heats up the contents and give a finer spray.

The state of my frame and engine case suggest something more substantial is needed. But now refinished they are still getting ACF treatment.
It "might" last all winter but topping it up with a few new squirts. It makes me feel better.

I'd like to get mine done but it looks like they need min number of bikes to make it viable to attend.

You could always do the job yourself??

Completely agree. But I'm trading off enthusiasm to learn more and look after my bike with doing it correctly.

I'm a member on another forum ( for diving) where I'd admit to knowing what I'm talking about. On here, let me be very clear from the outset, I've owned and enjoyed of bikes, I love my GSA bit I'm not a mechanic. I've reviewed enough comments to not post ' can someone explain to me how to do it' !

Got mine done yesterday, just me at the blokes house £60. 00 took 2 hours. Bargain in my view.

Thanks. Was he near Central London and is it safe to ride hole afterwards?

After treatment is it park up till springtime ?

Are you all under the opinion that this chap or any other chap will strip your bike down
If so think again that will NOT happen they will wash it dry it then apply acf50 and change you for the pleasure
It is an easy job

It is so so so easy to apply - why on earth pay someone?? £60 - blimey

It takes so little time with a rag and or a small paintbrush - I keep a spray in the garage and top up on the very exposed bits - it does need it after lots of rain and use.

ACF50 was suggested to me by Williams BMW in Manchester as the best way to protect resale value.

I think the difference is that All Year Biker use a compressor and spray it on really fine...so it gets everywhere ( when mine was done it was degreased, washed, dried, and then a cover put over it, and the ACF 50 was sprayed underneath, and came out the holes like a fine mist.... he then hand treated the wheels, forks etc.

If you put it on yourself ( I've got a tin) it goes on a bit thick which I'd imagine is what gathers the muck . Yes you can do it yourself, but I reckon All Year biker do it better :thumb

To do it properly the petrol tank needs to come off. Don't do it with more than a few litres on board or you'll struggle to get the bolts back in.

I bought an aerosol tin of ACF50 last year, but when I came to use it recently the tin had rusted through. So don't forget to apply ACF50 to your tin of ACF50.

Hi guys, anyone know where I can get a 4litre tin of ACF50 at a decent price.? Or even a deal on the 950cl bottles..
Another thread a guy gets it trade but no indication of where he gets it..
