is there a route? i.e. are the included going coastal or Any Plan?

I've got some cracker roads which are superb for views and within site of the water but away from the main drag of the power rangers on test?

Aidan,
MapMuchAppreciated. :thumb2

now printed out onto frayed and yellowing vellum.

i'll add the "here be dragons" signs - the "this way to middle earth" signage later. the rest shall remain "terra incognita".

Luddite :P

should we make a northern rendez-vous point which isn't ballycastle? the larne roundabout, or to keep with the theme, the texaco near belfast international airport (Templepatrick) at 11:30 or something??? :nenau

Jaysus lads, a bit of patience - we're not going 'til Sunday :D

I had a lovely route done which included the Tandragee & Dundrod circuits and the North Coast road but it ran to over 600km for Dublin participants & this was deemed a bit much for the majority :(

So, here's the plan :
Meet at the Texaco station on the N1 north of the airport. (Marc, that's the one on the left when you're heading north, just before Airside Retail Park ;))

Departing from there at 09.00 we'll be using the old N1 / R132 to get us northward. We'll join the main road north of Dundalk on our way to Loughbrickland where we'll be stopping in Aidans (N54 18 59.0 W6 18 16.8) where 'Mrs.Doyle' will be dispensing mugs of tay to participants :bow

Departing from there at 11.15 & stopping briefly at Texaco Ballinderry on the Moira Road (N54 32 34.6 W6 12 05.8) to pick up anyone there. Should be there about 11.45. And then onwards to the roundabout on the A26 over the M2, just north of Antrim (N54 44 38.8 W6 14 09.1) for another pick-up at about 12.15. We won't be stopping so if you're meeting us here just tag onto the end. From here we'll meander on back roads to Ballycastle.

Lunch is at Mortons chippy on Bayview Road in Ballycastle (N55 12 25.5 W6 14 25.9) at 13.30 / 14.00

Afterwards we'll head to Joeys memorial & then the Photo Rally point at Orritor near Cookstown before hightailing it south to Dublin, hoping to hit the M50 by 20.00.

We'll be using the 'drop off' system to ensure everyone gets to lunch & home again although everyone attends at their own risk :rob

Jockser,

info printed out and stapled to my forehead. ta. :pullface

No,no,no..
Staple it to the back so Linda can see it. Otherwise you'll be viewing it in the mirror and every right will be a left & vise versa - gawd only knows where youse'd end up :augie

"but nice Mr Jockser sed i could" :(

i'm off - apparently to 'discuss' the definition of 'unreasonable'.

Argh!

;)

Unreasonable:
Supporting St. Patrick's Athletic vs Valetta United, while watching on TV in a pub in Malta. (Mitigated by not being able to tell what team was which and supporting the wrong team for most of the game).
