Was it Geraldine on the 650? She get the gremlins sorted and home ok?

No Jay did not trottle me it was Marc :augie:augie
Marc went to touch it and made suggestion of holding trottle open gently...none of this reving to wake the neighbourhood you boys seem to always need:toungincheek
and then Jay approached my bike and that was it, the mechanical wizedary from a distance (Jay) or the the great advice from all she decided that she wasn't being left behind and started to run again.

We got home safely and with no further problems. It was a fantastic day.

Thanks to all of you for the prep, leads and sweeping today. Great to see everyone and to put faces and given names on the avitars.

Geraldine:thumb

That Was Fun! :bounce1
Many Thanks to
Jockser, Bin, Mandy and Aidan in particular for,
getting it together, keeping it together and the hospitality to boot! :clap
Nice to meet new faces, good to see old and
the buzz of just carrying-on-from-when-we-last-met :thumb

Jockser (oops; That Nice Mr jockser Sir :mmmm) kindly asked if i'd enough fuel before we left our last tea stop....
"sure, no problem" sez i. :blast
nope.
"splutter gargle fart pop!" sez Nellie (the Guzzi)
right beside Christchurch - city centre.
Damn thing HAS fuel / but without lying the Bike on its side - i aint getting it!:mad: (a work in progress; sorting this once and for all ;))
Mrs Og to the rescue - goes home and comes back with a jerry can. :clap
while waiting, i only had to fend off 3 beggars asking for fags and money - though one offered me a cheap sat nav / i declined , 4 Bikes went past without stopping - one waved, i think i know him :blast and many bewildered tourists shuffled past.

apart from that and a weeping shock (well, so would you if you saw some of the roads we took :D)
Brilliant Day Out!

Shame on us tossers from the black north for not having a better turnout:tears

Well Sam & I thoroughly enjoyed the day although his backside is a bit sore after covering 1200km between Sat & Sun. They don't make them like they used to :rob

That was definitely the best fish & chips we've had on the 3 Fish Dashs to date :thumb2 If anyone knows of other suitable candidates do let us know - have hunger, will travel :aidan

Overall the weather was great although, as we crossed the high bog after Broughshane, I did wonder was Mandy losing her touch as the temperature dropped & we (NI Phil & myself) rode through mist & rain but I think it was just that we got too far ahead of her to partake of her 'micro climate' :D

Shame on us tossers from the black north for not having a better turnout:tears
We purposely went up north, and had 3 meeting points north of the 'border', in an effort to attract a few more 'locals' but it wasn't to be. Maybe it's cos it was organised by a Free Stater :nenau Anyway, Si Johnson was talking about organising one, perhaps that'll bring them out....

Finally, thanks to Mandy for the tea & weather, Aidan for help with the route & sweeping, Bin Ridin' for the notion and Triggerfish & Miss Pringles for 'booking' the chippy :beerjug:

PS: I brought a wee photographer with me but he didn't take any pictures  He can buy his own bl00dy fish & chips next time....

....
Marc, how were their lines:augie

oh i gave some of them 100 lines each; :rob

'I must not slag off Guzzis'
