For those of you who have been following the saga - I can proudly announce that I have taken delivery of what must be the only " left hooker" 1200 GS in the world.

Picked it up from North Oxford today and drove it back to London.

The guys at North Oxford and Kliktronic (who did most of the conversion work ) have out done themselves

All the hand controls: throttle , clutch, thumb brake , gear shifter are now all operated by the left hand. It sounds worse than it really is!

Lost my heated grips and hand guards in the process - but a small price to pay.

Now to get those 600 first miles in over the weekend!!!

Will post some picture if anyone's interested

Cheers

I would like to see this, but sorry, link is not working.

Can you do location of your foto instead?

Mac...Ophoto don't let you do that......

Easiest way of showing us is save the pic on your hard drive, then attach it in your post......unless you can host ity elsewhere.

If you have any major probs, read MAster Dabber's excellent FAQ on posting pics in the FAQ section- or you can email me the pics and I'll host them for you ;)

PS glad you got it sorted......and hopefully you'll come down to Eynsford on the 24th to show us all ;)

PLEASE don't show this to BMW, I'm sure they'll think this is a logical extension of their f&cked up indicators!!!!:D :D :D

I'd love to see the photo of the adaptation. I have enough trouble riding a bike with the controls in the 'correct' position:)

OK, here are the two pics of Mac's adaptations...looking neat!!!

Mac,
I salute your determination and courage in the face of adversity. How many of us "able bodied" people would even attempt what you have mastered!

HIP HIP !!

Cheers! :beerjug:

Mac, Thats a nice bit of engineering the guys seem to have done you proud, all you can do now is enjoy:)

Well done to all:beerjug:

Thanks guys,

Its working a treat - put 350 miles on it over the weekend - its a great bike to ride.

The conversion work seems to be good - its pretty intuitive after a few miles which is exactly how it should be

Thabnks for the support

Mac, I'm truly impressed! Glad you got it sorted in the end!
