I want to add 1 or 2 more power sockets in a more sensible place other than down by my left boot on 1150GS.
Now the Adv. has one more up front to the left.
Wunderlich do a neat little fibre glass jobby that fits under the instrument panel where you can add all manner of things......but i AINT payin' £103 for it PLUS having it sprayed to match.

Anyone else out there added additional sockets, and if so where? Piccies would be good

Cheers in advance

Richie

I had an extra one put on my Adv near the passenger footpeg, on the arm that goes up from it towards the rider.

how about this, a K series electric plug holder, attached under the RID display. cheap as chips.

Adding the inital socket

Hi Guys, I've been browsing and found this thread. Not quite what I am after really. If I get a second hand GS without a power socket, is it easy to add one on? If so how?

Thanks a lot

wow, that's a great idea!!

I added a standard (i.e., "cigarette lighter") power socket under the dash (directly under the headlight). I picked up a waterproof power socket from a marine supply outfitter for very little money, and use it for my GPS and tire inflator.

They allhave one socket down by the left foot...

adding nother is easy enough...

Plugs

Ive just added heated grips to my bike which was easy enough as the connections were there ready under the tank.

Is there any connections for an extra power socket hiding under there too?

If not, whats the best way to wire these little beauties in??
