anybody reccomend a cheap idiot proof (SMALL ) device that i could use in both car and bike?
I have a tom tom rider 2 gps, but want just a small camera (only ?)
detector ,that i can use for local runs , any distance stuff i use the tom tom,.
Also iiiany body heard anything about laser,s being band next year?

but the iPhone isnt a detector in its own right is it? Surely its going to work off a database?

I'm pretty sure its Snooper that a couple of friends of mine used to use, but the trouble I could see with them was that they gave way too many fault positives and ended up going off all the time.

I've had one for about 5 years, an excellent piece of kit. Yes, it works from a GPS database, but you can update as often as you want.

Your only other option is to buy a pukka detector or get a suitable app for your iphone/GPS unit

Use the TOMTOM

You'll have to plug something in so why not use the sat nav you already have?

The database is updated every 10 days or so and they do voice warnings as well.......works for me (so far).

for me i just want a small detector ,that if i forget and leave on bike,and it
gets nicked won,t be to botherd about it , i have a rider 2 for long hall ,
