Hi all:
So I'm thinking of buying a brand new BMW R1200GS Adventure... I've never bought a brand new bike before so any advice would be welcome.
Are there any hidden costs or is the on the road price what I'll pay?
Are they going to be the same price at every dealer? Or should I shop around?
I'm paying cash in full so can I haggle?
What can I reasonably expect to get as freebies from BMW to seal the deal?
Should I look out for any sales BS in particular?
Apart from the 600 mile service are there any other costs?
What was your purchase experience like?
Steve

I'm trying to negotiate a deal at the moment with my dealer he's offered me £10700 for my 2013 gs lc against the gsa in white with gear shift, gs hangers for my varios and free 1st service £15900, if I can get keyless out of him as well I might go for it but I feel he's £300 shy of what I want! They are reluctant to discount the bike!
Do your research mid month, then at the end of the month go for the deal. End of month / quarter targets sharpens the salesmans pencil
I'd forget the GSA and go for the standard bike... But if you want the full wanna be adventurer image then get the GSA and full on BMW tw@t suit![]()
That's strange mine and JB's posts have been deleted !!

Yep, I deleted them. And mine. You can guess why.![]()

Bahnstormers were on the phone to me.............but it wasn't 'deal or no deal'![]()
I brought cash, tbh cash ain't kind no longer and you have less security if things go wrong, as in if you have a pcp deal.
Alternative have a good test ride on a dealers bike and if its for you buy a private one, there's a few GSA's on the private market now fully loaded with ££££ discounted, as new and very little miles .
