advice/help please

can anyone tell me whats going on,I went to start my bike and there was nothing came up on the screen when I turned the key,after turning the key on and off 3 or 4 times the screen came to life and the bike started,BUT,it is showing a FULL tank of petrol and I know it's not full,because when I put the bike in the garage friday eav, it was showing 34 miles left to go,this is not showing now,but is showing all the bars to the top.ie,full.
Now, do I have a problem?or one on the way? there is no warning light showing up either.
The bike is a 1200gs 2005,I am off on tour this friday so I am a little unsure what might be going on,can anyone give me an idea please...

Do you have a problem?

Depends if you call the symptoms you describe a problem or not.

I'd say yes, you do. Sounds like some sort of electrics issue and I'd get your dealer to check it out before going on any long tours

quite strange this, as the bike has never been any trouble,the bike went into my garage as I came home friday,left it on the side stand,don't normaly do that,the garage gets very hot inside.
I am going to be pushed to get to a dealer as they are not just up the road,and I can't get away from work with any amount of time to get some thing done,but I will have to try,bloody rum'in in'it.
