Advice Please

Ive just bought a honda xr250 1999
as its my first chain drive bike i need some advice
the guy who sold it to me was a fitter an it has grease nipples all over the place
but what type of grease should i use as the one in the head bearing shoul be more heat resistant i was told
also does anybody know any good sites
for advice tips on off road riding ie tyre pressures chain care etc
any advice would be greatly appreciated

i paid 2500 fergus a good price for what i got i think
as for stevet thanks for the advice but as im stuck in work and a copy of tbm is out of reach i thought maby there maby somewhree on the net for info
