Excuse my ignorance but how does cc work as an add on other than those hopeless throttle lock things.

Because it’s a fully developed electronic cruise control, integrated into the new 2018 AT and ATAS throttle by wire. They have already developed the system for KTM 1090 and 1190, as well as other TBW systems. Hopefully it will be ready soon, for our bike.

Scratch That, was looking at the wrong thing. Looks like a three button control in a horizontal fashion. Any idea of price of these systems already for other bikes??

Price is likely to be comparable to the KTM 1090/1190/1290 Kit, about $633 Aus, plus import taxes. Expensive, yes, but if your almost perfect bike becomes a perfect bike with cruise, then it’s worth it. Another way to look at it, large expense to get the cruise, but if or when you sell your bike, you can take it off and recoup some of the initial cost, but more importantly, you’ve enjoyed your bike even more than you hoped and you can sell it on to another, and get probably half your money back.

Well that how I look at it. :thumb

I seen 1000AUS Dollars, which is around £600 for the KTM one, though they did say around 700AUS D, still £400, not for me thanks, couple hundred, sure, double that, nah.

If it’s £600 new and I can get £350 back when I sell it, that’s £250 well spent in my book. You could buy one of those crap twist and lock jobbies, but that’s not cruise control is it.

I bought one of those plastic paddles for the throttle for my wee tour last month. I was actually pleasantly surprised how well it worked and how easy to get used too. It certainly helped on the horrible motorway jaunts up through England.

I don't go offroad, so I am going with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 - had them on my 1290 and they were excellent in wet or dry conditions and good mileage as well.

Pirelli Rally STR’s are great on this bike :thumb2, best upgrade you’ll buy, junk the crappy oem Dunlop’s asap imho.

I'm pretty sure mine hasn't got Dunlop's on as standard.

Just fitted Pirelli Rally STR’s to mine, with Outex Tubeless conversion, wow what a difference, very pleased and so much more grip and confidence inspiring, than the OEM Dunlop Trailmax D610’s. If you can only change one thing on a bike, tyres every time. :thumb
