Either way you will be rich and able to afford a new GS Stever...Here is the answer for you...2 , 4 or 18 wheels...I let you pick
Hmm, an evasive, none specific reply. I still think you drive a milk float.......and only ride a moped !
But you’re the only person who wants a GS with 170bhp !
I think you’ll find most others who find themselves on the 3 year PCP conveyor belt and can’t get off would prefer an improvement in build quality, reliability and a battery that lasts more than a week .
Arsey if the GS had 170 hp 1290 KTM and Ducati MS V4 sales would be...ZERO !
(M1000RR)
Seeing that BMW is a very small motorcycle manufacturer in terms of output (even smaller than KTM) it means that there are millions of motorcycle owners and riders that clearly proofs that you are talking shit.
Arsey you are obviously a bike owner and not a bike rider because for a bike RIDER there is no better riding STREET bike than a R1250GS with sports-suspension...Show me a better one and we meet and I show you that you are wrong again...Of course for the track or the Autobahn sunday mornings @ 6:30 there are better bikes for obvious reasons...But they are also made by BMW...
(M1000RR)
So much for ZERO appeal of the GS as the best tool for the road...And obviously some other people must feel the same how much they sell despite the prices...Expensive but so are the S1000XR,1290 SADV-S and MS V4 but where are the alternatives or competition to these 3 bikes ? Nowhere...Except maybe a real KTM if you ride off-road,maybe a T-7 if you ride around the world taking mostly unpaved roads or a superbike if your riding season consists of track-days...but that's it.And please don't tell me the new Harbor Freight Special from Harley call Pan Am is in the same category...If you get closer than 10 feet and can see the details you turn away...![]()
In economic output
The 1250 boxers are the # 1 selling bikes worldwide above 1000 cc and that for a good reason !
Most parts manufacturing is outsourced, especially electronics to China, and gearboxes (Ricardo for BMW and others). We can safely say that the biggest manufacturer also supplies the most parts to keep those millions of Hondas running.
