Hi all

Quick question really, looking to replace a at least 2 of my indicator units as one is cracked (the stalk) and the other completely detached (held together with insulating tape) first off if do i go for originals do i have to go to BMW to buy them, surely they will pull my pants down on the price!

If not originals anyone fitted anything aftermarket?

Bikes is a 99 GS1100

cheers
Neil

Just about to do the same as 3 of mine have duck tape around em. Stuff BMW I'm just going to get some mini rectangular ones from HG. Just a few quid each.

Wait for my full LED tutorial coming in a week or two. It's gunna be the thing to do if you've a 1100/50.

4* LED indicators + 2*20,000MCD*25!!! fronts using 6 stock BMW indicator houses.

I've got some rear stalks from an 1150 - taken off because I got the Metal Mule shortening kit to fit the panniers.

If they will fit and will help you out then they are yours in exchange for a contribution to Bert's SOS fund.

I have no idea if the 1150 fits the 1100 but I'm sure someone here does...

Go down to your local KTM dealer they normally have a lot lying around that fit very nicely (they get them on new enduro bikes but never get fitted so they normally keep them so they may sell them cheapish

Indicators

when the 1150 falls over (not if!) the first thing that hits the deck is the front indicator, wiring products do a good selection including the short pattern supplied by touratec with their panniers. dont fit these on front,
they do some small ones with no stalk. these are rated at 23 watts and take small bulbs, so get a couple of spares. mine have survived the desert
and falling of the stand unike my wunderlich high screen have survived unscathed-and they are cheap and they work. no probs on the road. can any one tell me about this fuel tank mod and save me from touratec's prices two extra litres would be good.(specially if it's free!.)
