I've just done a 3000 mile tour of Europe on my GS1200R, and my arse is broken. The worst pain was right at the bottom of my coccyx. I'm considering buying an aftermarket seat, possibly a Sargent. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket seat?

Cheers,

I had Baglux do my low seat with a Gel insert :D only trouble is they did not use my low seat but a standard one, so i have had to buy another low seat from a kind GS'er on here. OH! yer, the Baglux seat is great 3 or 4 hours no probs.

Snap !!

Look in Equipment and toys, i posted the exact same question :D http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75936

Ive come to a toss up between Sargent and Corbin. :thumb

Only tried the Corbin, but its been perfect for me on both 1100 and 1150. All day comfort. Bit like a wild west saddle though - quite wide so adds to the already demanding seat height and hence maybe not the ideal solution for those with a shorter inside leg.

Have you considered having the foam changed. I have the low seat and went out for the first time last week and got the same pains you have described.
Did a search on here and a guy called Tony Archer came up in Huddersfield,
turned out a mate had also used him on a fazer seat. Anyway took the seat to him and he agreed it was too hard so left it with him for a few days. Picked it up on saturday and it is miles better. You can feel the difference although it has made it a bit higher.
He said he cut out the top half of the foam and put in some intermediate stuff.
Price. £30 :clap I dropped him a bit more cos he turned it round sharpish for me. :thumb Well recommended.
