Hi all,

I have done a search on the forum but that was of no help on this subject. I give my new ( to me ) bike its first proper wash and dowsed it with anti corrosion spray.

The exhaust system was in dire need of a good clean, I give it a good clean and polish up to the point were the cat section pipe joins then gave up as my hands were sore from the bloody polishing.

Looking at the cat can and the exhaust can made me realise that a after market would have a few benefits. So I did the search and got nothing useful from it.

So what are the recommendations on the forum, I don't want excessive noise.

The bike is a 2014 G650gs in standard trim. It is fitted with BMW panniers so I don't wish any conflict with using them.

I have looked on you tube and have some ideas but want some feed back from you users.

Thanks Steve.

Come on guys and girls

Plenty views but not one suggestion, surely someone has some input on a after market exhaust. :nenau

Lots of end cans can be made to fit, Staintune being one of them but it's the link pipe that'll prove more difficult to find although easy enough to get one made up.

Have fitted a Scorpion to my Sertao, works well, but probably wouldn't meet your noise criteria.

Thanks Gaston, at last feed back. I have been looking at Remus today, anybody out there run one on their 650 single. Or have any first hand knowledge of how they perform.

I've got a Remus system in the shed that I ran for quite a few years. Nice sound, not too loud, weighs a lot less than the oem and doesn't discolour like the oem system.

I've got a Leo Vince SBK on mine , fits without any modifications and good quality :-)

Thanks for the info on the Leo Vince, they are just under half the price of the Remus I have had my eye on . Some will say you get what you pay for but thats a big difference.

I cannot make my mind up and want to get it right. I have every intention of keeping this bike for awhile. I also want decent comfortable seat , decisions, decisions.

Steve, cover the cost of the postage and I'll send mine for you to try out. I'm not selling (and after all the green laning and lack of cleaning, they're far from mint now anyway) but you could see if you like them before buying a set. Mine are from the single spark bike which had a different diameter header so I had a sleeve made to fit the twin spark.

Hi All, despite doing a forum search I didn't find that thread. thanks for the link.

Dansin, thats very kind of you to make that offer, I would feel really bad should something happen to it so I will decline. But the offer is much appreciated.

As I get used to the bike, I am beginning to think a comfortable seat should come before the exhaust. Lets face it the standard seat doesn't excel in the amount of padding in it.

I will close the thread and thank those that have took time out to respond.

Steve
