Who fitted them?
No problem on mine at all - however there is a knack to getting them right (as there are 2 ways that they can be secured, as I found out when installing them)

And the frames themselves are lockable quick release, so you can lose the scaffolding when travelling light.

I’m a huge fan of Motech gear, I’ve just bought the Blaze Pro saddlebags for my V100, well engineered and well thought out.

I only put the SW Motech rails on when I use the panniers and takes a few minutes to attach them (the nearly invisible mounting brackets just stay on the bike)
With the SW Motech pannier rails I can use their alloy boxes (which are shown in the pics) or other brands on panniers as SW Motech do adapter kits for other brands like Givi
I can also use soft luggage panniers (I have Wolfman Expedition panniers) on the SW Motech pannier rails too, as they have cut outs for the luggage straps

I looked at every sort of pannier system at the ABR festival last year and bought the SW Motech luggage as it was the most versatile and being German the best finished & designed imho

I looked at MoskoMoto and thought it was pricey (albeit well made) and I just didn’t want a soft luggage option and the SW Motech system with alloy boxes wasn’t a dissimilar price and I already had the Wolfman Expedition panniers

Theres these as well

I've fitted the Shad 57 litre top box to my RS and it's a quality item. Very pleased. Seems to keep the elements out well too.

So what rails have you got specifically? I've givi monokey top plate with 47 ltr givi box which I want to keep due to shape and 2 helmets size. But wanted to explore soft or hard pannier options for when we do set off as a pair.
