Has anyone experience of comparing the AmpliRider with, for example, the Fiio E06? If yes, is the output significantly louder through the AmpliRider? Many thanks.

Not used it as described above, but thought of using it as an amp between a bluetooth module and an Autocom unit, so emailed Gary (producer of Amplirider) nad his response was-
"The amp should work well in this application, since it has a 3-pole stereo input and output jack. It would create a boost in the volume from the GPS and then send it into the Autocom system so you could hear things easier."
And being powered from the bike, it should give a better output than the Fiio E06, also got a volume control...

Further to above post, the Amplirider does not work between the bluetooth module to autocom i.e. there is no amplification from the autocom unit. I think the Amplirider is designed to amplify directly to the speakers, tried it on a ipod and it does increase the volume to the earbud speakers.

Correct, if you put it between, say, an iPod and the autocom you just saturate the input of the autocom for no extra volume in the headphones.

Problem is, if you put it between the autocom and the head phones you end up with lots of cables in and out of your helmet.

FWIW, I found the Filo to be a complete dead loss with little or no amplification.

My experience is the opposite. Nothing with the AmpliRider and a significant boost from the Filo.
