Andres,is it here yet?

No, they’re cheating
But you will be welcome anyway

It’s only cheating if you get caught 😀

Once you’ve got dates sorted I might have a slight chance of knowing where I’ll be working but I’ve got a big project looming in the distance which will mean me working in North London for 8 weeks and that would count me out.

I hope I can make it because it sounds like it’ll be fun.

Don’t feel sorry for me, feel sorry for JB having to organise and put up with us all! :D

Me? I’m really looking forward to catching up with some great people I know and getting to meet some people I’d like to know :)

JB - as said I’m generally really easy on dates but given there’s more than one of us and the fact that demand this year will be high for accommodation in the UK I reckon outside of school holidays will probably be best?

Andres

Accomodation?!?
I thought MSAB'ers camped :D

Things I have discovered: Don't overfill the tank, in fact don't even fill it within sight of the filler. However, Husky have fitted a very efficient drain/breather :D

Things that have surprised me: With all the talk (on FB groups) of poor low down fueling/everybody and their dog fitting PCVs & intake kits I had budgeted for having to invest in some dyno time and fitting a little black box. Also, given mine is now Euro5 I really did think it'd run like a very lean running pig............. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. The fueling is a peach. Absolutely no hesitation, no hunting, no surging, just a smooth progressive throttle. I'm sure a tune will elicit more power but this thing is so powerful already I can't really see the point (mind you, I thought the same about my 1190R when I first got it and yes you can guess the rest :D)

Things I hadn't expected: I've got the first (600 mile) service booked at the suppling dealer in Keithley on Friday morning. I've so far done 200 miles. My leg broke yesterday so I'm wizzing around in a wheel chair until I can collect it, hopefully fully repaired, COP Wednesday................ I've got a lot of miles to cover Weds/Thurs evening :blast

Talking of 'miles' she's getting a proper shakedown this weekend so, Keithley Friday then after doing the DGR on Sunday (on the outfit) she'll be heading down to Canterbury, doing a Rapid training thing all Monday/Tuesday and then heading back to Nottingham COP Tuesday. I've ordered Husky's 'Ergo' seat........I hope it arrives in time!

Yours to Keithley will get a good few extra miles on her and at the end of it even if you are only at 400 its enough for the service as it is only oil really

Thats in my mind anyway

Yeah, about 90 miles..... you're right but I'd rather get as near 600 as possible, it's just a bit of a pain as I had some nice back road bimbles in mind for every evening this week......now I'll just have to get my head down and do some miles (and you can guarantee it'll piss it down both evenings). Don't expect a clean, new looking bike on Sunday :D

Keighley
Point of reference

I hope the ergo seat is better than the power parts one on my orange “instrument of torture “:D
Good news that the fueling is up to scratch as well:thumby:

I'm not expecting miracles TBH, it's a long, narrow, thin seat at the end of the day so we'll see...... I'll try and get over to you end of next week(ish) and we can compare 'instruments' of torture, or are you off soon, when do you go?

How the feck did you break your leg? :nenau:eek:

...........and does this mean that you can upgrade to a new one made from exotic materials like carbon fibre and titanium (i.e. prosthetic farkling!)

They break all the time unfortunately, nothing exciting just wear and tear......although I have broken them off-roading a few times and did come off my bike a few years ago on the road, my leg broke leaving part of it a few yards away from me, you can imagine the initial reaction of the other people at the scene :D

I am actually having a new one made as 'old faithful' is getting towards the end of it's natural life and yes, it will have some swish tech in it BUT and it's a very big but they have been trying to get it to fit and work properly for over three years now.....I was at the hospital most of yesterday for a fitting and we came to the conclusion that (again) they need to start again on part of it and re-manufature it.......here we go again  It doesn't help that, apart form the super swish stuff you see on the news being done for vets, the 'mobility' bit of the NHS really is a Cinderella part of it; great people with very limited resources. We'll get there though :thumb2

Fuelling is perfect, isn’t it !
Seats are subjective .
A mate has a Seat Concepts and liked it until he tried my Renazco out .
They are a bit expensive though .
You might find the Husky ergo seat is ok .

Aren't they just!

I fitted a SC seat to my 1190R mostly 'cos I liked the looks, I had no issue with the standard seat comfort wise. It looked nice so I left the SC seat on the bike but I couldn't tell any difference in comfort.

I then bought a second hand set of 'Ergo' seats, mainly for Amanda's benefit as she likes to be sat higher than me and being separate seats I thought that would help. We both found them to be really uncomfortable so I sold them on and ended up back with the SC seat....

Yet everybody and their dog says the Ergo seats are way more comfy

As an aside, I just heard this on the radio and made me chuckle.
Obviously you have it in your vinyl collection but seems appropriate given your current predicament :blast

Not quite everyone !

I putthe flashy Ergo heated seat on the 1290 GT and it was the worst and most uncomfortable seat i have ever ever used on a bike 100 miles and my arse was crippled
