I went to college in Livingston Just outside Edinburgh (anyone on here remember MOTEC?) and we had a great many nights out around Rose street area. Great pubs and very friendly young ladies in that area.My parents were at Uni in Edinburgh and said Rose street used to be all pubs and the challenge was to have a half in every pub and not many could do it

Nae tattie scones...disgraceful as you're still en Ecosse.....
I remember MOTEC well. Many a fond memories of staying there...I was the piss up tour guide for all the English lads.I went to college in Livingston Just outside Edinburgh (anyone on here remember MOTEC?) and we had a great many nights out around Rose street area. A great shame when the college closed down. I think it’s an industrial estate now.
When did you go there? I went 1977-1979. I was a panel basher but Spanner monkeys, HGV, sparkies, recovery lads all went there too.I remember MOTEC well. Many a fond memory of staying there...
I was there at the same time but an HGV mechanic. Enjoyed a game or two of football against the staff there. Brought down one of them in an excellent foul, he was not impressed. He was going to knock my lights out but I managed to get the first punch in. He went down like a sack of spuds...I don't recall his name, but it might come back to me. Apologies for the thread highjack Mr GerrardWhen did you go there? I went 1977-1979. I was a panel basher but Spanner monkeys, HGV, sparkies, recovery lads all went there too.
Apparently only the top 1% got to go!!! Probably the ones that went were all from main dealers. Initially for me I worked for Ford then Peugeot the garage then became Nissan. I worked on vintage as well as modern, insurance jobs.

Haha! Little chance of me ever wanting to go there! You haven't said where you're heading. If it's Tel Aviv for a sunny autumn break we need to have a quick chat.
