Just a quick plea to see if there is anyone who knows their way around the fault codes on the GS911 .. I've just bought one for my 2012 TC and following an autoscan all appears well apart from one code which I'd like to run past someone.

Grateful if anyone that might be able to help could drop me a PM.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the Hexcode website and put the code in there. They have a list of them or the forum can be very helpful as well.

Thanks .. That was on my list to do if I couldn't find a GS genius here ..

Out of interest, what is the code is it a standard p code from obd,
i recently got a gs 911 for my wc to re set sevice reminder, so not sure what codes they use,
You can google the p codes,

Glad you managed to get a GS911 Lofty, I hope it wasn't too expensive. You will find it very useful and it will soon pay for itself.

As said already, the Hexcode site is a good place to start.

Just back from the Hex Forum and I have ascertained from the auto scan (relevant bit attached) that it is a problem with the alarm. I don't currently use the alarm but I'm interested to know if it can be easily cured - don't like faults !

Anti-Theft Alarm
RDC/DWA type: Anti-Theft Alarm
Part No.: 8532947
Hardware Index: 14
Coding Index: 4
Manufacturer: Gemel
HWOE No.: 104136120
MCV: 0.6.0
FSV: 2.8.0
OSV: 3.2.1

1 fault codes found:

40296 Terminal 30 (Vbat) overvoltage
The fault is currently present.

Anyone got any ideas .. Might it be as simple as changing the 2 Lithium batteries in the main unit ?

Regards,

Mark

It is most likely the backup battery although I thought it showed on the dash for that. If you don't use the alarm just unplug it.

I'll have a go at changing the batteries when I get an opportunity ..
