Any Ideas , Soldering .

Thankyou , never like science , never thought it was any use in the real world , so no chance of a 50/50 mix .??
 
The ulimate strength of a soldered joint is the tensile strength of the solder itself. Lead is almost putty like at 12 MPa, tin being 15-200 MPa, therefore higher quantities of tin are required for structural strength. Lead is used to obtain fluidity & a melting point within the range of a soldering iron....
