Ho God more stuff it could be, did i ever tell you I rode harleys before this and I could fix this problem in minutes on them things. But I suppose you had to be able to because it happened a lot and you would never go anywhere if you could not fix the things

Well lets see what today brings, cheers chaps.

But so far you haven't tried to fix anything just keep asking questions of what it might be even after you've been told, and you carry on asking without trying to fix/repair what you have been told so far.

Sorted, working, running the lot :clap
I got my fuel filter today and took the cover from the tank and low and behold the pipe from the filter out let was not connected, just hanging there.
It seems the master race over in the fatherland had a party to go to when they assembled my tank because all of the hoses where not tight I just pulled them all off. No having to cut the hose clips just a slight pull had them off. Bad show Manfred I could have been belting down the motorway when that happened.

Anyway job done bike running and I know that I have put it back together and its right and its tight.

So a huge vote of thanks to you all and for all the help you have been. All of you who have offered my the lend of spares and information you are stars.
Thanks to you all.

They are all like that. It's normal.

Well done for getting our bike going.

Shirley if the filter out pipe was not connected petrol was just pish everywhere.

Or does it need the pump to suck it through said filter

The pump and filter are inside the tank, so a pipe off means the fuel just whizzes round in there without going to the regulator/injectors.
