Any of you Tossers ride a pushbike?

Never again after being knocked off by shit car drivers TWICE in 2 weeks , gonna stick to the turbo :thumb

Anything with "Pass" in its name cannot possibly have an easy side. Especially when compared to the flatlands of Essex. ;)

I did the big hill up Newlands valley first as a warmer, got to the top, where the waterfall is, then turned around and did Honister, the bit just before the slate mine is steeeeeep!:D

First outing on the new mountain bike this morning. Only an hour as I have still got a bit of a bad shoulder / back and I've never been mountain biking before. Think I need to work on the fitness a bit and take it slowly but it was good fun. Also need to remember to take change of trousers so I don't have to drive home covered in mud and soaking wet.

Got out this morning

And did 30.3 miles ( I rode round the cul de sac twice when I got back to make sure it went over 30!)
In 2 hrs 20 mins with 1604ft of elevation, avg speed 13mph and burned 1013 calories.

Pleased with that.:thumb

The squeeze and I got back into the saddle today and managed 27½ miles of towpaths.

:thumb

Completed my first road race of the season - 50 miles @24.4 avg at the. McCann cup at Omagh.

Some well dodgy sprinting saw me finish in the bunch but happy to get the first one out the way and in one piece. :aidan

Back in the pretty dusty saddle myself today. Tyres pumped, padded shorts on and off I went.
Only 10 miles but hopefully the start of something more this coming summer :)

I did my first 40 miler on Saturday - none stop, at an average of 15mph, there or thereabouts. Getting better gradually and have now lost 37 lbs of blubber since April last year.

44 miles in two stints today and yesterday.....averaged 16.4 mph cross both which is something of a milestone for my lardy ass, never really managed more than 15 average at anything around 20 miles.

And as for 24mph over 50 miles.....even if my legs and lungs allowed it, my gearing would need some attention to hit that as an average. :aidan

You fit buggers :eek

After my 10 mile ride yesterday and feeling as good as I did after it I decided today after getting home from work to take the bike out again and repeat the same route, looking for the 'fit' feeling from yesterday...

Feck me if I didn't feel like a 100 year old fat geezer

Managed 3 miles and had to stop and turn round - feel fine now back at home but legs, arse and wheezing lungs didn't add to the image of the tour de france wannabe

Just under 250 miles last week (including a 60 miler on Saturday and a 45 miler yesterday)... but feeling a lethargic today. Sat in front of the tele watching the Paris - Nice race.

well I've just brought a boardman cx team cyclocross bike as i couldn't decide between another mountain bike or road so got 2 in 1 :aidan
