Any of you Tossers ride a pushbike?

I have the Park Tool Home Mechanic Repair Stand PCS10 - does the job well.

Thanks for the steer chaps , I'll be getting busy on t'interweb finding one of these. On the basis that you get what you pay for the Park item is looking good.

I had an hour on the banked oval of the London Velodrome this evening.

Before we rode, I had a look from the spectator seating - feck me, the banking is steep! I'm told that it's 44 degrees.

The fixed wheel, unbraked bikes take some getting used to too! But after some coaching and a few slowish laps, we were all unleashed and hooning around at a great rate well up the banking.

The only downside is that taster sessions have to be booked months in advance.

I've had the green light from my physio to get out on the bike once a week after a minor shoulder op.
Not the fastest av speed but I tackled a few hills.

Strava info.

Birthday ride.
Distance - 23.2mi
Elevation - 1444ft
Moving time - 1:50:56
Av speed - 12.5mph
Calories - 832

How much do they charge to use it?

I wonder how many of us use Strava?

I recently joined, after my son taught me how to import Endomondo files into Strava. Was surprised to find I hold the 4th fastest time on one of the downhill tracks in the forest!
Of course, not being competitive, I won't be trying to better that time at any point. :green gri
On uphills I'm one of the slowest though.

I might be up for the Strava group too. I am slow and currently nursing an injury after a fall last weekend but hoping to be back on the bike by the weekend. Last corner of a 40 mile ride and I decided to make a bit of a last gasp sprint and the front wheel slid out as I turned at the junction for the car park outside Oulton Park lodge corner.

I was too, but there's a science to hill climbing that I was unaware of. Unfortunately, putting those principles into practice requires using a (very expensive) power meter, but as a result I'm now able to beat most riders in the climbs.
