for a 2007 1200GSA screen?
Took the screen off last night to put in a power point and other bits. When I was putting the screen back on I managed to drop the inside threaded bush somewhere in the front end. Done all the usual things with magnets and torches but god knows where it went - the dog was under the bike at the time and she was licking her lips!!!
Tried BMW and they want £42+ for the complete assembly as they dont come individually!! so I'm hoping someone out there has a spare at a reasonable price?
Took a picture of the one from the other side and currently using a washer and 10mm nut but would prefer the proper fitting.

Nylock nut and a washer :thumb2

Been there, done that one....You'll need a little spanner if you want to adjust the screen but how often do we need to do that then?

Roger.

Been there, done that! :thumb
I used a nylock nut too, then when I started the bike next, the original part fell out of it's hiding place! :blast

Been there too. Eventually found it on the garage floor two days later. Live in hope.

Thanks for the suggestions so far chasps, I tried JKWs OEM suggestion and it's item 11 on their drawing and as posted by Mike O. Unfortunately there are two bushes with the same part no. and when Motorworks kindly checked their stock it didn't have any threading. The eBay from Lithuania is at best a ripoff IMHO but thanks for the suggestion.
Still checking the patio floor and the dog, the CDG asked me if I'd tried picking the bike up and shaking it!!:blast

yip i been there too,it was lying under the alternator on top of the engine.

Item 11 looks like a flange nut to me. Are you sure it isn't item 4 you are after? This is the threaded bush with two flats on it?

I always thought the Lithuanian ebay items were the ultimate in recycling - ie we were buying parts back from bikes nicked here and split over there.

Disclaimer: this is a personal theory with zero evidence, YMMV:cool:

You're probably right.

Just had a closer look. . . I think you're right. . .item4 normally falls down.....

Item 11 is £1.55 inc VAT, Part No C46.63.7.724.481 COLLAR BUSH. Fits inside rubber gromit which fits in hole in screen (2 off for GS) and (4 off for GSA) :beerjug:
