There had been a problem with the plane and the engineer had fixed it and wanted to take a test flight.
The parachute club owner, Alex Black didn't want to lose money flying an empty plane so took up a plane load of students.
Five students and instructor, Alex Black (pilot) and the engineer. All were killed in the crash.
Scary thing was, i'd crashed in the same plane in 1977 on the south downs outside worthing
