Yes, it was tough finding one quickly and in the end it got reassigned from BMW HQ - one of the few benefits of buying just before the new reg comes in I suppose! I can sit on it and paddle it backwards even with a full tank - impossible for me on the regular height model.
Anyone seen a lowered suspension LC GSA?

Ye me to, no fun being a short arse. Impossible to find a dealer my way who has one in stock to try. I ride a standard GS 1200 at the mo but have to watch when I stop the road doesn't drop away

What happens at red traffic lights, stop sign controlled intersection and others places where you have to stop?
Hi Matty, I'm Cheshire too and having same problems as Millmax finding one for a test ride, did your dealer get on the phone to sort yours or did you do it yourself by calling BMW HQ who then sent it to your 'local' dealer? Cheers

Am in similiar position as am short in the leg dept (??) but having had 2 GSA's in the past, changed my order for the GSA LC lowered suspension back to the standard model at the last knockings. Only place I could locate a lowered suspension model at the time was at the NEC Show. Whilst I could easily get both feet flat on the ground, in my opinion it just did not look right, although I imagine with a lower centre of gravity it should handel better??
Thanks to advice on here, bought some M Star Daytona boots. So hopefully should be able to reach terra firmer a little easier than I was able to with my previous GSA's.
To be honest, the height issue was only a concern when 2 up with luggage and after 20,000 miles touring Europe with my partner and (all her) luggage - all was still well.

See I found that riding the GSA 2up with ESA set on 2up worked better than just me on my own in single rider mode as I don't weigh anything the suspension didn't compress enough.
So after a bit more riding in quite surprised how different it feels compared to the GS. The combination of the heavier flywheel, low seat height and more thickly-padded seat make it feel great on the road. Rough roads feel much smoother and the whole package is smoother at low revs. If anything the response is smoother and less jerky and you really don't feel the extra weight. The back end is also lower than the GS with its grab handles so I don't whack my boot on it every time I get on and off. Filtering in traffic is a doddle and there's plenty of grunt on tap. If you fit a side stand foot (the only one I could find for lowered bikes was the Wunderlich) be careful where you park it as sat on it with the side stand down has the bike almost totally upright.
Sat on new one at Ocean, Plymouth. They have plans for a demo one soon. Very surprised how good it felt.
At present considering a London to Beijing trip, seems a better bet with longer fuel range, better weather protection etc.

Yes it is in, a blue one, keyless.
The height of the lowered one appears to be the same as a standard GS LC, the suspension travel is the same as the standard one.
However, one can fit a G S lowered seat as well so that should take it down a little further.
My interest in it is the fuel range if I go China.
