you must have the first prototype 720i (interlace) that came off the production line then....:augie they only make'em in p (progressive)

the footage does look good byt the way!

the benifits of the higher frame rate means two things you get more stable images (less camera shake) you can also use some cool software to add effects which will look better on 1280x720. It's almost if the manufacturers added some upscale algorythm to make it 1920x1080 which causes more faults later down the line. When you want to change resolution when mastering files.

That footage does look - seems really quite sharp considering their riding at some pace. There was also limited wind noise - at least compared to my cheapo unit!

adjust the audio in post or stick a bit of PVC tape over the mic...:thumb2

Just been out with the camera and the footage looks good. filmed some in 1080p and some in 960p. If anything the 960p looks smoother which is odd. lol will upload them when i get a chance.

Uploading a movie in 1080p at the moment, taking ages filmed it and edited it all good in imovie then realised it was 3 times too big to upload on vholdr so had to hack the end off, will add a link shortly!

For reference, this was recorded with a cheap Creative Vado (none HD 720 * 480 I believe) strapped to the mirror. It's ok to look at on a small screen, and movie moves a bit, wonder if 60 fps would avoid that. Forget viewing it on any TV screen.. I'm now looking around for a higher spec camrecorder, the Contour is one high quality option but don't like you need a PC handy to change any settings, and can't view/review immediately. Also think this could be more fun to watch I had much better sound thru an external mike input (mike is taped off on the bike but not much good). Currently I'm thinking Kodak Zi-8 which has external mike option, and still be a low cost option?

all these little cameras are good to be honest they offer a solution that can not be equalled, some are better than others but unless your really going to it full on ... they are all good....

the wife's gonna stab me when she finds out.....:blast

well i have had it now for a few weeks now and am really impressed, thanks to everyone on here for your feedback. The only slight downside is that the same bloke's selling them for £250 now :-(
