ARDcase

New Customer for Roger

Hi All,

First post on this site. Although I dont own a BMW of any description, I do have a Ducati Multistrada 1000DS and there is not much by way of touring info on the Ducatisti.co.uk or Multistrada.net sites, hence me landing here.

I am having a pair of ARDcases from Roger and he is currently making the frames for me. I first saw the Ard's on the Ducatisti site and was impressed and suprised that there was not more interest from Duc owners. There seems to be a booming trade by you GS'ers and that is testament enough for me.

I have browsed through the whole thread and I like what I see. Many variations and colours.

This is the setup on his Multi.

When they arrive here and I have fitted them I shall post some pics. :thumb

More 800 cases

I recently visit Roger to get a pair of cases fitted to my F800
The rack is a symmetric one from Holan
Each pannier is 230mm wide with the total width of 1030mm
This wider than the mirrors but gives enough space for the two of us

Service is great as is the tea

Additional stickers from Humvee graphics

Cheers

Hi All,

Thought I would share with you my recent aquisition............ Bespoke luggage for the Ducati Multistrada!!

I asked for longer frames to be made, as I carry a pillion, and Roger was more than happy to oblige and even had the frames powdercoated black, at my request, to match the bike frame.

As I said before, I am so pleased with these panniers I cannot recommend Rogers service enough. Gonna use them in anger for the first time next week as its the annual Plymouth Megaride (13th June).

Thanks for reading.

Pete

Thanks Bryn

The Panniers on your bike really suit it Pete :thumb Like the shape :)

Thanks Mate....

Thanks should go to Roger really, he is a really nice guy to deal with and his welding skills are fantastic! :clap

All the pictures I have seen on this and other forums, of his work, really dont do them justice. They look better in the flesh and you can really appreciate the quality of the build. :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Help !

Just ordered a set of Ard Cases for my 2002 1150gs, Roger says and I quote 'Has your bike got standard rear indicators ? If so you will need to replace them with narrower versions as they foul the racks and boxes , so my question is what to replace them with, as I have just fitted a pair of LED inserts, that I brought from someone off the forum ?
Thanks in antisipation

Locks on ARDcases

Anyone had trouble with the locks on their ARDcases?

Those on one pannier are threatening to seize and, because they are ideally located to catch all the road muck, are difficult to lubricate. I'm debating whether to drill a second hole through each catch opposite the existing one and use little padlocks rather than risk a lock seizure.

Any thoughts?

Whatever you do, don't lubricate with oil, that will only attract more road muck. Use graphite powder instead.

Indeed.

However, when faced, in Andorra, with a lock which will not release a key anything will do!
