Hope so...
I’m off to the Brecon Jazz festival next weekend, then a wine festival in Germany on the Rhine. And keeping my fingers crossed for a trip around Bonny Scotland and sky to bump into OOOOnnnyak later in the year, (he doesn’t know yet though!):D

Just another update
Brought my bike in for a service to another Dealer yesterday.I did mention to them about the,how did someone on here put it so nicely"The Red Warning triangle of Death":D:D and the first think which was ask was if my speedo was playing up as well:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D
Well i will start another thread as soon as my bike is fully sorted and put a link up on here.
But i had my believe into BMW customer service fully restored yesterday:thumb:thumb they even offered me coffee:D
Thanks to everyone on here for their support and help,i hope to meet you all in person one day

Now that this whole sorry saga has moved on a bit have we seen anything formal from BMW UK about this? Are they simply going to try and keep this quiet?

Am I wrong or did BMW UK get a copy of the original letter that LV sent to Cannons? If so they've taken their time in getting back to him about it.

Oh and Thank you LV! Prior to LV's conversation with the Cannons I was still willing to adopt the attitude of "There's two sides etc." however my mind has now been firmly made up. I won't be going there unless in a dire emergency!

What a shame and as for Willow... :mcgun

I'm usually willing to give people the benefit of the doubt however... Talk about an own goal! :blast

i would imagine that BuMW are monitoring all BuMW forums worldwide, its the best marketing survey they could ever hope for and its free.
 
I always thought that post about the free panniers was a dodgy plug from someone in Cannons. Crikey, I'll definately not be buying my new bike from them. That's a shame as thats now my nearest two dealers struck off my list. Shambles, I though BMw were meant to be good with after sales support. Definately not in my experience so far.

Do you really think so? I think that is just wishful thinking - otherwise we would have to brush up our grammar etc. I know that the dealers report back every fault out of the ordinary that occurs. For instance when I had squeaky brakes that proved difficult to cure, although the dealer changed pads and discs, I had a nice letter from BMW France asking me to be patient plus a BMW Pen and a BMW cap - (that my daughter swiped straightaway!) A few weeks later they brought out a small modifiacation kit which solved the problem.

not everyone goes to BuMW dealers. They cannot get the reports back from Independents, also they will watch the opinions that are being formed on forums.

Not all 'dealers' are trustworthy in reporting back to BuMW. A huge organisation like this would definitely be watching the internet.

Hardley Dividson regurlarly go to the big Hog rallies and rip off the original mods that owners make to their bikes:augie

Rather underhand of Willow to pose as a tosser - maybe all this could have been sorted out weeks ago if cannon had followed the lead of crossan (another thread) and explained their side of the story instead of resorting to threats and refusing to talk.

Yes they do monitor this site. Can't imagine that they would like it all though. :)

Glad to hear LV that you`ve had a resolution to your plight & hopefully closure to the dispute. :clap:clap:clap
This was a sorry tale involving a stubborn, complacent dealer who`s business will hopefully take a long while to recover - some would say that they hope it never does. :spitfire
I would say that the main lesson learnt from this sorry tale is that customer service is king and thats how it should be.
Anyway LV, happy riding & stay safe :thumb
