Alledged Irish accounts issue led to all others sections having to have National Treasurer, National Social Secretary and President on Section Bank Mandate (this was an increase from two signatures to five) Yorkshire Section were against this and it led to a heated meeting at National Committee Level. The Yorkshire Section agreed that they would only have two National Committee members of our choice on bank mandate which we got.
Irish Section member of your choice should attend National Committee Meetings three times a year at the National Club's expense. You would get mileage allowance, ferry fare, all food and accomadation for attendance. (Like the guy from the Ulster Section does.)
You choose not to attend and haven't done so for a number of years. Instead you let other people fight your corner, so its a bit like the guy who has commented on the postings and ended by saying he's not going to the AGM.
Yorkshire Section has open policy and welcomes anyone on two wheels to our monthly meeting at Cracoe. GS members attend, Vintage Bike Club, Matchless and AJS owners. Two weeks ago 25 Gold Wings turned up and they were made most welcome. Anyone on holiday in the Yorkshire dales would be most welcome and open an invitation has been isssued on this Forum on a number of occassions.Pipes and slippers my arse.
BM Riders who should be known to your section i.e. Phil Hawksley and Pat Mansfield have also attended as a group and singley.
Get your act together, if someone is having a dig at you, get over there and dig back.
By the way I am the Yorkshire Section Treasurer and stand in National Committee Member for Yorkshire.
