At last, she's arrived...

It is indeed the Old Smithy.

Nice ride today, Notts and Lincs - my only complaint being that the tankful of petrol Rainbow put in had run out:rolleyes:

Overall, very pleased so far, the engine seems smoother and quieter than my previous 800 (09 plate), which was always slightly noisy ('they all do that Sir/Madam...'). No trace of tightness in the engine and they have cured the annoying habit of the sidestand snapping shut like Arkwright's till if you so much as looked at it...

No salt JB, just a bit of dust - you going to Scotland with Sir Michael in a couple of weeks?:flag:moped: :beerjug::beer:

Still salt about in the dust, roads are (dried) white oop 'ere with it

Best to rinse the dust off the bike, she looks lovely:cool:

I am doing Scotland at Easter:beerjug:

What have they done to the side stand? My stand flips up and even after replacing the bushes it still does it.

Don't know how they've done it, it still looks the same, but the sidestand will stay in any position you put it in and you have to physically push it up all the way, rather than just touching it to make it spring up.

The bike looks great, Jane's very envious hers doesn't arrive until mid May, dressed in the same colours. Hope the Dorsoduro sells by then. And you can't beat the first few occasions you ride a new bike. :)
