I have an elderly Active-7 that is fine, and with my current bike (KTM 950 SE) I need to run the lead from zumo 660 to the rear of the bike where the Active-7 is. Also the volume of output is not really up to he job so also got an Amplirider amp to give me the volume I need. Problem is the lead is picking up interference and the Amplirider is making it worse! I have one of those red/black isolation boxes and have the speakers in the helmet correctly.
So thinking - bugger it, let's get a new Autocom, "IF" it can :-
a) BT to the zumo (cut out interference from the lead)
b) put out enough volume (i.e. more than an Active 7) as I can't see how I'd put the Amplirider in line with the 7 pin output from a new Autocom.
c) I don't use a phone on the bike, but if the new BT ones make it simple may want to try that out for giggles
Anyone able to confirm if the new Autocoms can do this? If so which one? I also use a walkie talkie for bike-to-bioke comms.
cheers
