Aux 1 power on autocom active plus

Hi There,

Here is the link to the Active Plus Manual, should tell you everything you need to know about powering Aux 1. The switch to enable Aux 1 is bottom right near Aux 1 and will power a dongle no problems, ensure you isolate any powered device!

Thanks Mick, I can't see a switch anywhere on the unit. I think my unit is an early one before they had powered aux 1 as standard. I read somewhere that this can be done by soldering a wire on the circuit board but cannot find any instructions on how to do it.

You'll probably have to take the lid off - look for a screw or screws under the main sticker by rubbing your thumb over it. The power option is likely to be a jumper rather than needing soldering, in which case it will be a very simple mod. Unfortunately, as you have found, there isn't much info about how to do this on the web.

Have a chat to Sam at Chainspeed - he knows his Autocoms and should be able to help you out.

Is this what you mean?

The 2 little "grommets" on the end pull out.

You must connect the plug from the opposite end of the Dongle into Aux 1 only.

Simple to do...just done it

From the advrider thread, it looks like it's not a jumper swap after all. If you have a problem with the soldering, drop me a line, you're less than an hour away.

I contacted Autocom the other day to find out how to do this for an 2005/06 Easi Plus I picked up on ebay for my 2nd bike - turns out its the same procedure as the Active Plus. The instructions show what to do for the Pro as well. Worked like a charm.
