Aux Lights Dazzling

Perhaps you need darker raybans , my point is, if they catch your attention, job done, they will not be in your eyeline for long.

Jesus wept, you blokes get excited....

They were obviously adjusted incorrectly, and too bright. The proper ones can be dimmed with the wonder wheel. Mate has them - they are great.

Carry on.

I've got 6 lights on the front of my GSA. They will bring down aircraft when all fully on.

However, they are also controlled by HEX EzCan device.

My BMW OEM 'Fog Lights' are rarely (never) turned on. These really are only called into action on pitch black night country lanes.

My Auxilliary Spot lights are on at 10% power during daylight and dipped beam. They are ideal as DRL's.

On main beam they go up to 100% and are very bright.

I never ride with main beam on.

Study has shown it is very difficult to determine speed and distance when dazzled with oncoming headlights. You are better of on dipped beam and lateral movement. Triangle lighting is good.

Also search 'fighter pilot study on the effect of saccades' People really don't see you so take more control and SLOW DOWN.

A great post Warlord. Hopefully everyone will take on board your sage advice.

Read Warlord’s post #23 - that is how additional lights should be used. I absolutely agree they should catch the attention, but many think they need to be on all time on full brightness day and night - I’ve experienced some twat following me at night while out on the blood bike with all their lights on, and it was frankly dangerous. If car drivers drove everywhere on full beam there would be a chorus of condemnation.

It certainly looks like a well adjusted rig but I miss the triangle shape in your setup.

Yeah, just the way it is.

However, this setup makes the GSA wide, so people give it a wide berth.

Must look like an official Convoy from a distance as people seem very courteous around us while travelling together.

But it also might be that rare 'bright blue glint' light prism refraction you sometimes get on LED lights from a distance, when cornering.... :rob :augie Or so I'm told.... :thumb

Fuck there is some piss poor attitudes in this thread. Don't whinge when you dazzle someone with your lights and they come directly into your path you morons

What he said.

I set mine up parked behind the wife's car she was pointing out the point where I was fully lit up but with good visibility in the mirrors. Strangely enough they were not angled up in anyway. When I tested that line she said it was extremely distracting and could not work out any distances. This took about 5 mins in all, and probably saved drivers getting pissed of with my aux lights.

Yes because you aren't an inconsiderate arsehole like some of these other mental defectives. Then you have the inbred dipshits that ride around all the time with their high beams on.

Blimey, I hit a nerve.

My eye's have just about recovered..

One headlight 5,000 + miles this year filtering all over Europe no problem.

I feel too many lights (might) create resentment and therefore actually be more dangerous..

The chap following you seemed to have an interface between his additional lights and his indicators. If an indicator was on, then the additional light on that side went out for the duration it was flashing.

How do you achieve this?
