Hi guys. I'm looking for some ideas for the fitting of some aux lights. My gs hasn't got engine bars as that would have been easy. So, where do you stick yours? :-D

They are LED fog lights and halo from a car! Brackets off ebay. They work a treat in the dark!

Trying the same thing, search eBay for ap-moto, they have similar to this.

I have these with added on halos at 70mm diameter. Search carefully and you will find them with integrated halos.

They allege to give the equivalent os a 125 watts halogen. Who knows, but they are very long range. They have an annoying triple function but its easily disabled (check YouTube for instructions). I made a a 2mm aluminium sheet bracket to bolt to the top. It picks up on the OEM aux lights mounting point.
The chrome on the front bezel will peel off (chrome and aluminium don't mix) but its easily painted and for the money who cares.
These are the same without the fancy "protection".

Avoid those with a conical beam. A flat triangle beam is ok for day lights but a cone beam will dazzle. I tried a pair with four emitters. They were rubbish as daylights (too powerful), then one filled with water so that was that.

Mine have been on at least a year. Being cheap I bought a second set but they are still on the shelf.
Check YouTube for removing the multi mode chip and use copper paste on the threads.
The chrome bezel will flake off but it's pointless bling & nothing that some paint won't fix.
If you are really good you could wire an LED dimmer to switch in on dipped beam and out on full beam. I tried but never got it to work hence the angel eyes.

Sounds good. I don't mind buying them if they last a reasonable amount of time. I do have some cheap led lights I might use once I find a bar or brackets I like. Or I'll make one.
