Awol again to the Coast.

Large Marge is out of action for a while requiring a new rear shock.:( So having a touch of cabin fever decided to escape to the coast for an afternoon on me Julies F650gs. Now I haven’t ridden this any distance since I was 5 stone lighter. It’s the lowered version.
Out with the puttnams stadium seat and sheep cover to make seat a little higher, this will hopefully protect me chalfonts.

Bugger the battery is flat again.

Lets not Feck about I`ll get a new one. Picked, up part charged at 1.15pm fitted and whilst refitting panels slapped on charge.
Ready for the off at 2.15pm, swift run up the M/Way to Howden and cross country. Enough fuel to get me to Bridlington. Didn’t hang about getting here the old girl was doing 65mpg . Much respect.
A little bimbling and a fair amount of hooning, the bike grinds out on left handers (centrestand) and me been larger than the average bear doesn’t help. The little bike just gets on with it.

Call in to Flamborough café at the Lighthouse for a spot of tea.

The old Lighthouse

Then run on to The landing.

Off to Bempton to walk me cod and chips off eh they were grande.

Gannets rock Doves and Jackdaws all the other birds are out at sea now.

Walking back spotted a massive owl pellet , eeek that must of taken some passing/ fetching up

.

Disgusting.

Such a lovely evening it would be a shame not to do a little more riding , so headed off toward Filey taking the Malton road and up Staxton Hill. At the Top pulled in to photo start of sunset, which got much better than this.

What a grand day out , the ride home with few cars was a hoot. Julies bike did me proud . Only little but you know what , I could swap Large Marge for one of these in Dakar form. Or shock horror even consider an XTZ660. So light and easy to manage.:cool
Not big enough for two up trips though.

Home at 9.15pm grinning from ear to ear.:thumby:
