Al, I thought you wouldn`t need that sort of equipment as you don`t speed...........well only coming out of bends. Cruise control is a wonderful thing !

The answer is it depends.
The GPS ones depend on the updates, and that requires people to update the locations, they will also never pick up the mobile systems, although they often bring up frequently used locations regardless of if there is a unit there at the time.
The detector versions again work on the current crop of machines but wont detect those that use infrared, or use cables in the carriageway. The answer is to either keep to the speed limit or use a system that employs a combination of both. I personally haven't used one but I think some of the road angel systems combine gps and detector in one unit and I am sure there are others.
However after all that you also have to assume that it will still NOT get everything.
