Hi,
I've got a 1200 with 2000 miles on the clock. After a couple of 1150's to compare it with I'm surprised how much vibration there is between 4,500 and 5,500 rpm. It's sooth as silk below and above that range but the harsh buzz I get is smack on my normal motorway cruising speeds. It was a tiny bit better after the first service but given all the hype about balance shafts and silky smooth engines I'm dissapointed that it's worse than the older bikes! I did ride a demo bike which seemed ok but didn't get a chance to sit with it on a motorway at 90-odd for an hour.
Do they all do that guys?
If not, what's going on or does it need another 20,000 miles running in? I assume the throttle bodies were re-balanced at the service, especially as I mentioned the vibes then.
Any words of wisdom appreciated.
