Got one of these pesky things with the bike but it wasnt fitted so its been a cupboard.
I fitted it today cos its nice warm weather and I want a tank bag for IOM next week, now the question.
Front top strap under headstock avoiding wires etc.
2 front straps one either side of shock (on full lock they get twanged by the forks?)
Rear 2 straps are angled with metal locking buckles, now I threaded them between the battery and the ABS and they seem okay but I want to make sure thats correct and they arent meant to fit somewhere else.
Baglux site is no use, searched on here and there is info on 1150 and adventure
Anyone got/had one of these ?
Thanks

?

if all is well and the straps aren't pulling on anything i'd be happy but i'm sure the 2 rear straps go under the top rail on the rear subframe sumhow.. I could be wrong as mine had been in the garage for a few years unused.

the ones that go near the forks i had to cut them down to stop them getting tangled up,, i melted the edges once cut to stop them fraying

Thanks Andy will investigate further

I have one on my 850GS - as Andy suggests, I threaded the rear strap on each side under the frame tube, and then back to the clamp on the same side. It was a pain getting them threaded - take care not to trap any electric bits.

Did you describe all your straps? Mine also has a strap at the front corner of the tank on each side - goes round a tube under the tank.

I also had lots of excess strap on the front two. I used cable ties to tie it back to the same strap. I didn't want to cut them because I think they are useful during fitting - the slack allows a good grip when pulling them tight.

As the above suggests but I never bothered using the one round the headstock as it makes it awkward to use the stearing lock (30k miles and no probs).
So: two rear angled ones thru subframe (right hand plastic cover pushes over the top of the strap. One either side of shock. Finally one each side where the tank and beak meet. These go up and around the beak sub frame that extends under the tank.
Best done on a warm day as the cover is a lot more flexable.:)

Thanks guys
Seems I have a mutant baglux!
There is one strap each side at the rear stitched at an angle with corresponding metal lock buckle.
One strap each side at the front bottom corner plastic buckle and one at top front with plastic buckle.
Can't see anything that looks like a strap has been removed so must be a duff one.
Badge windows and filler line up so must be for an 1100.
Will re do rear straps and put up with it

Seems I can't count. Straps all present and correct and routed as suggested
Thanks again
