I've now plotted 2 routes in basecamp. When I open it, my map shows both routes. How do I only display the route I'm working on?
OK, reporting back after my trip to Belgium and Germany, things went pretty well. However, when I needed fuel, I looked for a filling station on my 660 and afterwards needed to get beck on my route. When I selected the route, it asked me if I wanted to start from the beginning. Clearly I didn't want to do this. Can you re-join a route from the nearest point?
I have a 550 and it does exactly the same thing.
Just choose the 'No' option (presumably there is one on the 660) and it recognises where you are and it sets you off on the route from where you are.
I did select no but as I wasn't on the route it seemed to do nothing

Don't use motorcycle - it sends you everywhere
Set it as automotive.
Put your start and end points in as waypoints. You can edit the image. These should appear in 'my collection'.
Go to create route and drag these in. This creates a route which you can then play with by using the selector tool to drag it around to where you want.
NOTE: Be careful when dragging you get it exactly on the road or you will be sent down the local avenue. Zoom in to make sure.
Just been planning a few routes this morning. The find feature is shite![]()
I spent hours last night trying to create a route from london to Mid wales with the map sending me down residential streets when the main road ran strieght through even doubling back on itself just to use smaller roads. will now try again with the system set to automobile. thanks againcan be got round by putting in the name of somewhere on the route, routing to there and then restarting your route once you get there but not sure that's the point of a satnav!
Sure we must be missing something![]()
I've downloaded the 2013.10 maps to my laptop. How do I load them on to my memory card? In Mapinstall I select 2013.1 from the dropdown and click continue but it asks me to select the maps to install. What am I doing wrong?
Do I then need to delete the old maps?
Sorry, I don't understand.
I phoned Garmin and they gave me my free upgrade. Shouldn't it upgrade everything?
