Batt symbol with red triangle

Finally got my RT back on saturday. Rode it to work last night and back this morning. Seems ok touch wood. However both times I have started the bike, the batt symbol and red triangle stay on until I rev the bike. I know its the alternator kicking in but it never did it prior to its sabatical in the dealership for the gearbox oil seals.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or does it mean another trip to the dealership

The battery was fully charged and the voltmeter shows 12.3 v and 14.3 v when running

I'm sure my RT always used to do that. Never had any battery problems in 27k miles.

... I find the light will extinguish of it's own accord in a second or two, but it's instinctive to blip the throttle on start up anyway. Any change may simply be down to a software update while it was in the shop.
