Battery removal

I need to remove my battery this evening. I don't have my manual to hand. Is this an easy job? How long should I allow?

5 minutes at the most.

Take of seat, unbolt battery terminals, remove battery strap, remove battery....

Disconnect the negative cable first, and reconnect it last. That way if you short the positive to the frame while disconnecting or connecting it, you won't do any harm.

Thanks guys. Whipped the battery out in about five minutes as suggested. Very easy to do, wish more bikes had such user-friendly design.

After refitting the battery, remember to reset the throttle position sensor as described in the manual.

Gulp - didn't read the manual and do this. Rode the bike today and everything seemed fine, will check the manual tonight.
