Just replaced the battery on my 1100GS, I found it quite easy to jusy prop the back of the tank up was enough room to get old battery out and new one in, same drill remove R/H side cover undo tank retaing bolt careful not to lose the nut which is not captive, then used piece of timber to prop rear of tank up. Word of warning unsure throttle cables are seated correctly after moving the tank about.
